Why publish online through Writing to Inspire?
Why would you want your writing published online through Writing to Inspire?
Here are just a few reasons:
All writers need readers – The roles of writers and readers go hand in hand. While you may have a small group of people around you who receive enjoyment from your writing, putting your work online allows thousands of people worldwide to read what you have written. Remember, also, that you can use a ‘pen name’ rather than your own if you would rather keep your anonymity.
Receive support and feedback – there is no doubt that writing can be an isolated task, but by publishing your writing online at Writing to Inspire you have the opportunity of receiving feedback, pats on the back, and critiques from an international audience.
You need a web-presence – As technology, and the way of doing business changes, there is no doubt that if you want your writing to become a paying hobby or career you need to be searchable online. A speaker at a recent state conference confirmed my thoughts; publishers do look for and research new writers online, which means you certainly don’t want to disadvantage yourself, especially when you can put your work quickly and freely online here.
Make new friends – In a world where everyone is busy doing their own thing and where friends can easily be a hundred miles away, why not connect and make new writing friends online? With the great ‘Comment’ feature at the bottom of every piece of writing posted on our site, friends, family, and colleagues anywhere can let you know what they love about your writing. Don’t worry, all comments are vetted, you will never receive an obviously insulting or hurtful response.
Changes in publishing – You don’t have to look too far to realise there are less opportunities available for your work to be published in books, magazines or other traditional ways. On the other hand, it’s also only too evident that the internet is offering an ever growing arena for publication as it slowly permeates every part of our lives. Therefore it stands to reason that publication on websites and electronic media is the direction everything is headed.
Now while this might be fine for those people who are comfortable building websites and creating ebooks, but for those who don’t have the time, knowledge or inclination to venture into this field it can create a huge and costly challenge. This is why Writing to Inspire offer the opportunity to publish your work online through our website (no hours of website jargon, no fee). You focus on your writing and let us focus on all the internet and electronic issues.
Writing to Inspire understands and respects writing and writers - Writing to Inspire might be a growing business and website, but it is created, run and facilitated by people who are writers first and business people second. In fact, we believe it's because of our personal approach and genuine respect that our growth as a company has been so consistent.
Everything we do is based on what writers want to know, need to improve their writing and writing careers, need to keep them writing, and protecting their writing. We are not some big company wanting to make a fortune at the expense of other writers, we focus on treating writers and every piece of writing with the same respect that we treat our own.
It’s fun – Now isn’t that the best reason for doing anything?
