Books for Sale

In a time when only 1% of work submitted to publishing houses is accepted and made into books, it stands to reason that more writers are investing their own money and time into publishing their own books. You don’t have to search too far in any good book store to find excellent quality self-published books for sale.

In many cases writing that isn’t accepted by publishing houses, isn’t turned down because it’s substandard, it’s more because publishing houses are loathed to take a financial risk on new writers and niche subjects. But having said that, not all self-published books make it into book stores either. Again, not necessarily a reflection on the books for sale, it’s often due to bookstores’ having to take 45% of the book’s price simply to cover their costs, or not wanting the extra paperwork created by working with individual writers.

These reasons and more are why Writing to Inspire created our notice board of Books for Sale.

Simply click on any of the links below to find out more about the self-published works promoted here. If any of the books or CDs appeal to you, please contact the creator directly.

THE FINE PRINT

Our aim at Writing to Inspire is not to be a retailer of these books, only a promoter. We have taken the word of all authors promoting their books and CDs that their product is of good quality and that they will be prompt and honest in their sales to you. However, as with most sales over the internet, the purchaser when selecting a product accepts all risks that may eventuate from the sale. In the unlikely event that dealings with any authors represented here turns out to be less than satisfactory, please contact Writing to Inspire directly so that we can take whatever steps we feel are necessary.

Bec, Australia

‘Elizabeth, this was a terrific, confidence building, well-honed little course. I would thoroughly recommend it.’
Margot, Australia

‘Writing is a labour of love when we expose ourselves by baring our soul. I believe Elizabeth Bezant has the skill to combine respect for our feelings, with pragmatic strategies to help us publish our precious efforts.’

John, Australia

‘Elizabeth, this was a great course and though it was short it has boosted my confidence in my writing. Thank you!’
Rachael, Australia

‘A very rewarding challenge – not too difficult, not too easy. Every word was welcome and useful. I edit other people’s writing in a really similar manner, but it’s amazing how difficult it is to see those same errors in your own work.’
Margot, Australia

'Great course Elizabeth! I would not have taken the time to seriously try this genre but for your course. I made the last few changes you suggested and have sent the essay in to ............. After reviewing their requirements I see that my piece fits in every way possible.'
SM,Canada

The critiquing to me was the whole point of the course. While the general comments and writing tips were vital as a backbone to the course, the personal interaction and direction was the whole point of it all.’
Sue, Australia

‘I thoroughly enjoyed course, and it being online made it a breeze.’
Rowe, Australia

Not only have I learnt so much from you, but I have also so appreciated all the encouragement and your wise counsel in assisting me to do something that I wouldn’t have believed could have been nearly possible. I will miss you.’
Yvonne, Australia
