What is a Writing Coach ?
The Role Of A Writing Coach
As a writing coach my role is simple, to help you make all your writing dreams come true. Believe me, it really is as simple as that.
If you need:
• assistance to get over writer’s block, I can help.
• help defining your direction in writing, I can help.
• guidance on writing and publishing your autobiography, I can help.
• advice on getting your magazine articles published, I can help.
• help writing a ‘How to’ book to promote your business, I can help.
• information on publishing, I can help.
• support to keep on track, I can help there too.
In fact, I can help with just about every aspect and style of writing except for poetry and university papers.
The Areas I Specialise In
We are all driven by wants and needs. Wanting to be a writer and see your words in print is no different. It’s even the same in the reasons why we don’t achieve it, because:
• other things have a greater priority,
• it’s hard to do something when you don’t know where to start,
• you don’t want to waste your time if you’re no good,
• sometimes it’s just hard to get motivated.
But these are just some of the things I, if you choose, can help you with. Let's face it, sometimes all you need is a nudge in the right direction or a vital piece of information to enable you to achieve any goal.
Why I Became A Writing Coach
I would never have achieved half of the things I have done with my writing if I hadn’t had somebody behind me motivating and coaching me along the way.
In fact, it’s because of this that I started up Writing to Inspire, to give support to other writers. It seemed the perfect extension of my work as a writing coach.
How it works
Coaching sessions take the form of discussions about your writing. They include defining what you want to achieve, personalising steps and deadlines to help you achieve your goal, finding individual solutions to setbacks, and keeping you on track.
These sessions can take place over the phone or by using Skype, and may be booked at a regular day and time or can just be arranged when you feel you need extra support.
Before I take on new clients I find it essential to have a quick ‘free, no obligation’ introductory conversation with them about their requirements. This is for two reasons: firstly, to ensure that I can help you with your writing concerns and, secondly, to ensure that you feel comfortable working with me. Without either of these aspects, coaching can be an expensive waste of time for you, and I don’t want that.
If you feel that this is what you are after, or if you are interested in any of the other
services
please fill in the form below. I’ll then get in touch with you as soon as possible to arrange a time for our introductory conversation.
