Jun 29, 2009, Book Sale in Joondalup

Are you looking for something to do this Sunday (5th July)?

If so, I may have the perfect event. The Peter Cowan Writers Centre, on the ECU campus in Joondalup is having a Book Sale.

Come and meet some local authors while snapping out a bargain.

This will be a great afternoon regardless of whether you're after new books signed by their authors, rediscovering a favourite book on our second-hand selection, picking up the perfect piece of bric'a'brac or buying a homemade cake to take home with you.

Put together by Peter Cowan Writers' Centre, one of the state's largest writing centres, this Book Sale is bound to offer something to both readers and writers. To say nothing of being a great opportunity to meet up with other writers and to visit a house that once belonged to Edith Cowan.

Peter Cowan Writers Centre is found on the ECU campus in Joondalup. If you've been to the campus before you might recognise the Centre as being the little wooden cottage next to lake, or if you were there in the summer perhaps the cottage next to the Pines Picture Theatre.

However, if this will be your first time to the Writing Centre, my recommendations are to enter off of Joondalup Drive cnr of Hodges Drive. Turn right at the roundabout, take the first left, then follow the road around to the visitors' parking. Once there you should be able to see the lake and if you follow it around to the right it shouldn't take long before the cottage appears beneath the pine trees.

For information contact me directly through the form on the submit a blog entry link at the top of this page.
